Secure Consistent Funding for your Organisation

Fundraising doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Together we’ll simplify the process, help you focus on the right opportunities, and craft compelling applications that funders want to say ‘YES’ to.

Providing a consistent income and security is always a challenge. But it can be made easier.

  • Does fundraising feel like a constant uphill battle?
  • Do you find yourself reshaping your work to fit funders’ criteria?
  • Are you torn between quick applications and big applications?
  • Are you new to bid-writing and wondering where to start?
  • Were you thinking of getting somebody to do it for you?

Balancing fundraising with delivering your services is tough – let’s fix that with a strategy and streamlined processes.  Fundraising can be easier.

Regular, consistent funding is crucial - but you need results now.

With over 20 years of experience in small charity and community fundraising, I don’t just help you submit a strong application, I also teach you how to write and secure the repeat funding your organisation needs. This ensures sustainability, ownership and the authenticity that funders want.

Together, we will:

  • Research and identify the best funders for your projects.
  • Write and submit compelling funding applications.
  • Secure funding to support your work.
  • Develop your skills so you can continue winning grants without me.

You get the funding you need now while gaining the knowledge to set you on the path to consistent, long-term funding.

Why My Approach Works

With the Sustainable Fundraising Project, you’ll not only get bids written, but you’ll also learn how to create a sustainable funding cycle that continues to bring in money. It’s no more expensive than hiring a bid writer, and it gives you the tools to secure funding repeatedly.

By working with me, you’ll:

Learn by doing

Together, we’ll work on real bids right away. I’ll guide you through the process so you understand the key steps and can continue the work independently in the future.

Build a long-term funding strategy

I’ll help you identify the most effective ways to communicate your project's need and design solutions that resonate with funders. We’ll work on your bid together, ensuring it reflects your passion, knowledge, and genuine connection to the community.

Develop the skills to continue winning grants

I’ll teach you how to collect and present evidence to demonstrate the need in your community; clearly define your project’s solution; position your organisation as the best choice to run it; research and target the right funders for your project.

Could you just pay somebody to write bids?

YES, you could hire a fundraiser (myself included) to write bids for you, but this is often less effective in the long run. Here’s why:

1 : Funders want authenticity

Funders are looking for more than just polished prose. They want to see that your project addresses a real need, that you understand the problem and the solution, and that your team is the right one to deliver it. If a bid feels like it was led by an outsider, it can undermine the project’s credibility.

2 : Short-term gain vs long-term sustainability

While an external bid writer can bring in money quickly, they can’t equip your team with the skills to sustain funding long-term. Plus, few donors will give you money to pay for an external fundraiser.

3 : Avoid wasting time and resources

Rejection is often not the worst outcome – it’s funding a project that you can’t deliver or that isn’t right for your community. My approach ensures you understand the real needs of your community and the solution you’re offering, leading to more effective bids and long-term success.
